Chen Ye

Chen Ye has more than 15 years of experience guiding private and public companies through corporate, transactional and cross-border matters. She brings together “Big Law” sophistication, in-house practicality and cross-cultural insight to deliver clear, actionable advice in fast-moving and high-stakes situations.

Chen built her practice at leading international law firms—including Jones Day, Shearman & Sterling (now A&O Shearman), and Herbert Smith Freehills—in New York, Silicon Valley and Hong Kong. She advises companies at every stage of growth, from formation and financing to IPOs, regulatory compliance, strategic investments and cross-border transactions.

She later served as senior in-house counsel to leading technology companies across the media, entertainment, and semiconductor sectors, overseeing corporate and securities matters, strategic transactions, and board and executive governance.

Fluent in English and Mandarin, Chen bridges legal, business and cultural perspectives for U.S. and Asian companies. Clients value her ability to connect people and ideas, foster trust, anticipate risks and guide organizations through growth, transformation and, sometimes, crises.

Chen holds an LL.M. degree from New York University School of Law and a Bachelor of Laws degree (with honors) from China University of Political Science and Law in Beijing. She is admitted to practice in New York and California.
