Peter Ekberg

Peter Ekberg brings a radical ingenuity to corporate law that is part of his DNA.

With a robust background in corporate transactions (including M&A) and securities offerings of all sizes, he has deep experience advising emerging growth companies through every aspect of entity formation, capital structuring, equity and debt financing, and partnering/joint venture transactions.

He has also advised mid-sized and Fortune 500 companies on a variety of financing transactions, strategic partnering transactions, and numerous M&A transactions. His experience covers a wide range of industries, from healthcare and medical technology to global manufacturing, to consumer products, supply and distribution, e-commerce, and media companies.

Highlighted by more than 25 years at major law firms, Peter has served as the managing partner of DLA Piper’s Minneapolis office, a founding partner of Jones Day’s Minneapolis office, and Chair of Faegre & Benson’s (now known as Faegre Drinker) Emerging Companies Practice. He earlier served our country as a Captain in the U.S. Army, 2nd Armored Cavalry Squadron, with direct combat experience in Operation Desert Storm.

Peter has a B.S. from the U.S. Military Academy and a J.D. from Columbia Law School. He is admitted to practice in Minnesota and New York.
